Cinnamon Cacao Protein Pancakes

Good morning and happy Sunday!

I am sharing with you one of my all time favorite recipes, cinnamon cacao protein pancakes! YUM!

I love these for a few reasons.. for one, they are low carb unlike a lot of “protein pancake” recipes out there that contain oats or bananas, these only contain 5 ingredients and NONE of them are carb-based. There is nothing wrong with carbs, however if you are tying to keep your carbs low some days, are carb cycling, or would like to save your carbs for later in the day, these will help you. The other reason I love these? They are a sweet breakfast option and are high in protein, they are not EGGS! I have no issue with eggs, except the fact that they can get boring and plain egg whites are difficult for me to get down.. ick.  Of course, another reason I love these pancakes is because they contain two of my favorite flavors: cinnamon and chocolate! Lastly, you can make a large batch of these on the weekend and keep them in the fridge for the week. As leftovers you can grab them cold for a quick snack or reheat for a warm sit down breakfast on a weekday.

See below for the recipe, feel free to change up the spices to your own liking. Other flavors I suggest … pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, almond extract, or coconut extract with shredded coconut.


(Makes 2-3 servings depending on your energy needs)

Complete recipe: 26g carbs, 64g protein

2 scoops raw vegan protein (chocolate or vanilla flavor)

3/4 cup egg whites

1/4 cup vanilla or plain coconut milk

2 tbsp all natural no sugar added almond or peanut butter

1 tbsp raw cacao powder (this is different than cocoa powder and much healthier)

1 tbsp ground cinnamon (I like A LOT of cinnamon flavor, you can adjust this if you like less)

Blend all ingredients in food processor or blender.

Heat skillet over medium heat and oil with coconut oil spray

Pour batter like you would with pancakes, cook 1-2 minutes each side.

Optional Toppings:

Sprinkle additional cinnamon on top.

1 tbsp 100% maple syrup with raspberries on top

Lil Shuga

1 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter

… now get outside for a weekend walk or run! Sky puppers favorite weekend activity!
